Update 4/21/09
As many of you know we lost our home to a fire on 4/4/09. We were able to retrieve
the animals (except two guinea pigs). We do not know the exact cause of the fire.
The Illinois State Fire Marshall is still investigating. It looks like the fire originated in
the laundry room.
We lost nearly everything. We did have many family photos scanned and backed up
so we are very grateful that we have precious memories saved.
We were very upfront with the Marshall, Fire Chief and the insurance adjuster on
Chrissy's recent issues.
The community and Enterprise have blessed us with an overwhelming out pouring of
support. The Fire Department and Red Cross were very helpful to us during our
crisis.
We have a place to stay and we have our basic needs met. We are Safe and
together. That is all that matters. Everything else is stuff.
The demolition begins on April 28th hopefully we will find out soon the exact cause of
the fire.
